Carla Vellutini, EdD
Psychologist
I am a licensed psychologist providing outpatient therapy to adolescents and adults who are navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and performance-related stress. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, with a focus on helping clients build practical skills that support long-term growth, resilience, and day-to-day functioning. I work closely with individuals to increase insight, strengthen coping strategies, and develop tools that can be applied across school, work, relationships, and other areas of life.
I have a particular passion for working with youth and adolescents, informed by my background as both a former high school math teacher and my clinical experience in PHP/IOP settings with teens. These experiences shaped my understanding of how learning, environment, and mental health intersect, and continue to guide my work today. I also specialize in supporting individuals with ADHD, helping them build structure, confidence, and effective strategies for academic and daily life functioning. In addition, I often work with families to improve communication and strengthen overall system functioning.
Before becoming a psychologist, I spent time as a Division I athlete, which gives me lived insight into high-performance environments and the identity shifts that can come with injury, burnout, or transitions beyond sport. I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, and ACT into my work, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs while supporting meaningful and sustainable change.
